Lunar Eclipse • September 27

A bit after the start of the eclipse.

Clouds moved across the moon, creating a lunar corona for a while.

After this shot, I started concentrating on the shadowed region of the moon.

The red light is sunlight that first passed through the earth’s atmosphere. This is the same effect that creates a red sunset.
