Common Whitetail

Eastern Bluebird

Eastern Towhee. Remarkably, this bird was signing away loud and clear with a mouthful of food! There was no distortion in the song at all.

Eastern Bluebird. This bird was in the deep shade and seen against a bright background, hence the distortions in color and contrast.

Viceroy. My first Viceroy of the season! Too bad that the right hind wing is incompletely formed. However, the butterfly flew around just fine, so it didn't appear to be a liability.
