Oatka Creek Park • June 29

Eastern Phoebe. Yesterday there was a cookout party at the park lodge that was directly underneath this bird's nest. Seems none the worse for wear today!

Cabbage White. These butterflies appear snow white from above, but they have a fair amount of yellow on the underside of their wings.

Eastern Cottontail

Yellow Warbler

Eastern Bluebird

Cabbage White. The two dots on the wing indicate this is a female. (A male has only one dot.) It's feeding on Cow Vetch nectar.

American Toad

Great Blue Heron

Hooded Warbler with food for its nestlings.
