Oatka Creek Park • June 10

Yellow Warbler

Yellow Warbler

Clay-colored Sparrow. While easy to find on Maple Hill during the end of May, it has been difficult to find this bird during the beginning of June. However, it is still defending territory near the top of the Hill.

Pearl Crescent. It is nice to see this butterfly on a cloudy day. The indirect lighting reveals subtle color variations that disappear under direct sunlight.

Dragonfly. After pouring over my field guides I have given up on trying to identify this dragonfly! The variations between dragonfly species can be very subtle. However, as a consolation prize, the dragonfly is eating a fly!
