Oatka Creek Park • November 17

Tufted Titmouse. It was a sunny late morning when I arrive at the park today. Most of the birds seemed to have already finished their morning meals and were off elsewhere. Small flocks of chickadees and titmice popped up from time to time however.

Downy Woodpecker. Woodpeckers of many species were out and about, too, though none were too happy about my camera. This little gal kept circling around to the far side of the tree as I slowly moved to catch a glimpse before she moved out of sight again.

Downy Woodpecker. Carolina and Winter Wrens were active along the creekside, though none were interested in playing hide-and-seek today. Still, a hike in the sunshine, especially this time of year, is always worth the price of admission!
