Oatka Creek Park • July 29

Northern Cardinal. This was a juvenile, as indicated by its gray bill (beak). It was also behaving like a curious juvenile that couldn't decide whether to stop and stare at me, or dive for cover and hide. It decided to stare at me briefly, but the urgent calls from the nearby adults changed its mind and it disappeared moments later.

Orange Sulphur. You can see a bit of the orange from the upper side of the wing bleeding though, especially on the forewing (upper wing).
