Jerusalem Artichoke. This is a very common wildflower along the creekside, now.

American Lady. Note that on its hind (lower) wing there are two large eye-spots. We will come back to that below.


Orange Sulphur

Painted Lady. Note that on the hind (lower) wing there are four smallish eye-spots, as opposed to the two large eye-spots on the American Lady above.
