Oatka Creek Park • July 1
Moth Mullein. This beautiful wildflower is in bloom throughout the park now. The white variety seen here is much more common locally than the yellow variety, though both can be found at Oatka.
Wild Bergamot. This is, by far, the best flower for attracting large butterflies, e.g., Great Spangled Fritillaries and a variety of swallowtails, in the park. Fortunately, it grows in profusion throughout Oatka, so it makes finding those Spicebush and Giant Swallowtails easier!
