Roberts Wesleyan College • April 22

Purple Trillium. A late in the season hard freeze was predicted for the coming night, so I made my way down the road to the Roberts Wesleyan College cross-county trails through the woods to photographic the wildflowers that grow in the damp environment.

Purple Trillium. These flowers survived the freeze nicely.

Large-flower Trillium. This species has handled most of the late season freezes with little problem.

Twoleaf Toothwort. This was a new species for me.

Jack-in-the-pulpit. I am not aware of many places in the region where this flower can be found.
