Comments:     It was a cloudy 44F late afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. It was just about the quietest walk in Oatka that I can recall. A Hairy Woodpecker greeted me along the dirt road heading into the woods, and that was it for that area. The profound silence worked to my advantage in the wooded section of Black Billed Cuckoo Trail, when I heard the buzzy calls of a Brown Creeper and quickly found the bird with their aid. A small flurry of White-throated Sparrows along Warbler Loop, an overhead wave of geese, and a few other sporadic sightings completed the list.
