Oatka Creek Park • January 5

Oatka Creek Park, Monroe, US-NY
Jan 5, 2012
Protocol: Traveling
3.7 mile(s)
Comments:     It was a mostly overcast 35F late afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. It was a relatively birdy afternoon with the woodpeckers returning to the fore after being mostly missing for a day or two. Many birds were seen feeding on grapes and there were purple stains in the snow throughout the park. (I don't think the birds are into the buckthorn berries, yet.) There were no large flocks tonight, just a fairly uniform scattering of birds.
