Comments:     It was a mostly cloudy 29F late afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. A pair of Eastern Bluebirds fed on Staghorn Sumac berries as I left the parking lot and walked down the dirt road to the woods. This would pretty much be the highlight for the walk. As I entered the depths of Brown Creeper Trail, however, I was suddenly in the middle of a robin roosting area. They somewhat reluctantly moved to another area when they realized I has noticed them. After that, it was the occasional White-throated Sparrow or other common winter resident.
