Comments:     It was a sunny and mostly clear 11F late afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. The biting cold produced a flurry of birds by the parking lot, which is within the vicinity of a number of bird feeders along Union Street. The most interesting birds here were a pair of bluebirds. After that, the walk was quiet with robins being the only active birds in the rest of the park. They busied themselves along the creek and then up to the treetops to catch the last rays of sunlight from the setting sun. By the end of my hike, most of the batteries in my electronic devices had packed it in due to the low temperature.
