Oatka Creek Park • January 18

Oatka Creek Park, Monroe, US-NY
Jan 18, 2012
Protocol: Traveling
3.3 mile(s)
Comments:     It was a sunny, clear, and cold 23F hike in Oatka today. It was another quiet outing in the park. The main source of birds was a flock of crows making their way east in preparation for their nightly roost. Signs of last night's strong winds were everywhere with two major blowdowns blocking my path completely (chainsaws will be required) and many smaller blowdowns throughout. There was a minor pocket of birds along Warbler Loop, but otherwise there were no distractions to my winter reveries.
