Oatka Creek Park • December 7

Oatka Creek Park, Monroe, US-NY

Protocol: Traveling
4.9 mile(s)
Comments:     It was an overcast 35F late afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. It was another gloomy and quiet evening in the park. Things started off promisingly on the way to the park when a Red-tailed Hawk flew in front of my car with a rodent clutched in its talons. Woodpeckers were about in light numbers and the Winter Wren continued along the creek. In the middle of Warbler Loop, which is a considerable distance from the creek, I was surprised to hear a Belted Kingfisher. It flew towards the creek and then disappeared.
