Summerville Pier • November 26

Summerville Pier, Monroe, US-NY
Nov 26, 2011 1:48 PM
Protocol: Incidental
Comments:     It was cloudy and 57F early afternoon on Charlotte and Summerville Piers by Ontario Beach Park today. A Snowy Owl was perched on the corner of a Coast Guard building at the base of Summerville Pier. There were many birders and photographers present, as well as Snowy Watch expert Tom McDonald. Mary Flood and I were able to walk behind the station and get a few pictures without the owl showing the least concern. (In fact, after an initial glance at us, all I got was mostly pictures of the back of its head.)
