Oatka Creek Park • November 30

Oatka Creek Park, Monroe, US-NY

Protocol: Traveling

Comments:     It was a cloudy and snowy 37F late afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. Halfway through the hike the wintery precipitation stopped and the skies partially cleared. No accumulation formed. The park was quiet with woodpeckers and White-throated Sparrows being the only species in relative abundance. Rather than the warmer and more sheltered creek region, during the bad weather the birds seemed to prefer the deep woods. At least, that is where I found most of them.
