West Forest Drive and Oatka Creek Park • October 21

West Forest Drive, Monroe, US-NY
Oct 21, 2011 2:50 PM - 3:11 PM
Protocol: Traveling
0.4 mile(s)
Comments:     It was a cloudy and occasionally sprinkling, 51F mid afternoon birding walk in the woods by my house. The highlight was entering the woods and having two Hermit Thrushes pop up in front of me and perch in the open for several moments, looking me over. I would meet these birds on the way back out. Expected species filled out the list.

Comments:     It was a cloudy and occasionally sprinkling, 48F late afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. I was hiking with my niece and our birding was casual and route abbreviated, so no effort was made to 'dig out' the more hidden species. The listed birds were the ones that mostly 'fell into our laps'.
