Comments:     It was a mostly cloudy and 53F early afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. It was a quiet evening with the sense that there has been a continuing migration exodus these past couple of nights. In response to some chickadee vocalizations along Warbler Loop near the creek, I started spishing and a Hermit Thrush and a Golden-crowned Kinglet popped up. The latter came within arm's reach to size me up before returning to cover. On the way out I ran into a longtime birder of Oatka and he said that last Friday a Northern Goshawk flew across the trail in front of him as he approached the bridge over the creek.
