Oatka Creek Park • October 25

Oatka Creek Park, Monroe, US-NY
Oct 25, 2011 3:07 PM - 5:07 PM
Protocol: Traveling
4.6 mile(s)
Comments:     It was a cloudy, rainy, and 62F early afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. Today's outing was under thoroughly gloomy skies which seemed to have most birds in hiding. Robins continue to mass in the southern portion of the park for their coming exodus. Golden-crowned Kinglets and all the common woodpeckers were fairly ubiquitous while Yellow-rumped Warblers continued to feast on the poison ivy berries along the dirt road from the parking lot to the woods. The outing was cut short when the rains finally came.
