Comments:     It was a cloudy and occasionally sprinkling, 53F late afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. Today's highlight was seeing a Green Heron flush from just upstream of the bridge over the creek as I stepped onto the bridge. It landed on the bank almost immediately, so I moved down the trail on the opposite side of the creek to get a better look, but the heron would have none of that and left for good. The other interesting event was stepping into the fields along Bluebird Trail and seeing a flock of small birds chasing a flummoxed Red-tailed Hawk. The pursuers broke off and disappeared, after which the hawk flapped around in the air in an erratic manner for several moments before assuming a calm glide and departure from the scene.
