Oatka Creek Park • October 11

Oatka Creek Park, Monroe, US-NY
Oct 11, 2011 3:13 PM - 5:36 PM
Protocol: Traveling
4.4 mile(s)
Comments:     It was a partially cloudy and 80F late afternoon birding hike in Oatka today. It was another quiet walk through the park tonight. I found a pair of Blackpoll Warblers still hanging on in the thickets along Brown Creeper Trail. Trout Run Trail by the creek hosted a traveling mixed flock of migrants that paralleled my movement for a good distance. The chickadee-sbased flock also contained Golden and Ruby-crowned Kinglets, a Yellow-rumped Warbler, and nuthatches. Back by the parking lot I found another pair of Yellow-rumps and a trio of juncos.
