Protocol: Stationary
Comments:     It was a cloudy morning, just minutes before a long rain storm. I was mostly scanning the lake for loons, so the other birds were what sporadically came into my awareness. The most interesting non-loon was the raven, which perched atop a tall tree on one of the small islands in the lake, croaking away. The loon was first spotted fishing at some distance to my right. Many boaters were on the water, but this didn't seem to faze the bird. It worked it's way leftward and ever closer to where I was standing on the dock. I eventually had a couple very close apparitions before it moved on.
