Oatka Creek Park • March 1

It was a sunny and 43F sunset birding hike in Oatka today. It was another quiet night with the only event of note being a gathering of Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers at the woods / fields interface along Black Billed Cuckoo Trail near the start of Warbler Loop. One Downy was so intent on its excavations that it let me stand quite close and take a lot of pictures. Most all the other sightings were brief flybys or pop-ups.
