Nations Rd and Doran Rd • December 4

I got back just a little while ago from today's RBA field trip to Nations Road in Avon and Doran Road near Lima. Our leader, Bob Mauceli, ran a *great* and very successful trip! The highlight was, of course, watching a trio of short-eared owls hunting over Doran Road and putting on a great performance at that! :-) My lists from today are below. I didn't get very good pictures due to the lack of light this afternoon. (Sorry, but there are no pictures of the owls as it was already several minutes past sunset under heavily overcast skies, i.e., really no light! No one's more disappointed than I am ...)
Horned lark. You can just make out its yellow throat.
